I am a Los Angeles–based production designer and visual storyteller with a background spanning film, architecture, art direction, and spatial systems. My work is built on a foundation of architectural thinking — a belief that space, material, light, and proportion are not decorative choices but narrative ones. Every environment I design begins with a question: what does this place need to feel like for the story to be true?

Over six years working across film, music video, live events, and branded content, I have developed a practice centered on research-led design, close collaboration with directors and cinematographers, and precise execution across physical and digital environments.

BACKGROUND
KHAIRI X — Newark, NJ born Black Renaissance Designer. With a background in architecture, his practice includes 3D design, illustration, graphic design, digital modeling, interior design, and animation. Khairi’s work is focused on legacy and nostalgia. With references from history, architectural principles, and nostalgic youthhood, he tells the story of what the results of 10,000 hours look like — what can happen when an artist loses doubt and believes in their ability.

A registered single-member design LLC operated by Khairi Reynolds — specializing in, but not limited to: architectural design, production design, art direction, interior design, graphic design, set design, prop design, metaverse development, and 3D design. The aspiration: to work with creative, culturally interested people and businesses.

Ephemeral. The idea and the execution = result. Results, for the good or bad, is life.

X — To seek and strive for greatness through all aspects of life: everything I stamp my name onto, I hold to a certain caliber. X marks the spot — the spot in which two parties collide and greatness occurs; in collaboration the best and brightest ideas come to life. To build a future that has not been done before and be limitless in design. To sound the unknown — to start anew but commemorate my role in history and continue the tradition before me.

O — 0 is the mark of completion: to complete the full circle, to finish whatever task is in front of you to the highest regard. To mark something as complete is not the end — it lives on through its existence in the world, how it interacts and connects with all its surroundings. Like architecture, I apply this to everything.
